I’m Olimpia Mesa, learning designer and author of Cum învață oamenii.
Over the years, I have trained a significant part of Romania’s professional trainer community to design learning through my T4HPL methodology.
AI has now given us extraordinary new design capability.
But it has also made something much easier to confuse:
Producing learning content with designing learning.
This workshop is the way I currently combine both worlds: the science and craft of learning design I have developed over two decades, with the extraordinary speed and possibility AI gives us today.
The goal is not to let AI replace the learning designer.
The goal is to make a very good learning designer much more powerful.

11 / GOOD QUESTIONS
Before you
bring your work.
Do I need to know T4HPL already?
No. It is an advantage if you already know T4HPL, but it is not a prerequisite. We will begin with a 90-minute refresher that will give you enough understanding of the methodology — and of the neuroscience and cognitive principles behind how people naturally learn — to use it meaningfully throughout the rest of the day.
How experienced do I need to be with AI?
You need basic working experience with AI, and this should definitely not be your first time using it. This is not an introduction to AI or a course on how ChatGPT works; we will move quickly into using AI as part of a professional learning-design process.
Do I need a paid ChatGPT account?
A paid AI account is strongly recommended if you want to do serious, sustained work during the day. It does not have to be ChatGPT — you may use another professional AI provider such as Claude — but free plans can have limitations in capability, access and usage that may interrupt your work.
What exactly should I bring with me?
Bring the device you normally use to create: ideally a laptop, but an iPad can also work if that is part of your usual workflow. You will be designing and working with AI throughout the day, so spending the entire workshop on a smartphone is unlikely to be comfortable or efficient. If you normally work only on a desktop, please plan ahead and bring the device that will allow you to work properly.
What if I do not currently have a program to redesign?
That is absolutely fine. Choose a real or possible project you would like to create, and you can start building it during the workshop. The important thing is to work on something relevant enough that you can continue developing or using it afterward.
Will I receive the prompts afterward?
Yes. You will receive the prompts we use during the workshop in a shared online document, so you can return to them, adapt them and use them in your future learning-design work.
Is this primarily an AI workshop or a learning design workshop?
It is primarily a learning design workshop. AI is the accelerator, not the methodology. The focus is on making better learning-design decisions and using AI where it genuinely helps you think, explore, create and improve faster.
Will we actually work on our own programs during the day?
Yes — this is one of the central promises of the workshop. You will work on your own program or project throughout the day, applying the methodology, prompts and quality criteria directly to something that matters to you.
Is the workshop in Romanian or English?
All materials, frameworks and AI prompts will be in English. If the group is entirely Romanian-speaking, Olimpia will facilitate the workshop in Romanian. This gives you the advantage of working naturally in the room while leaving with materials you can also use in international or corporate contexts.
Can my company pay by invoice?
Yes. We can issue a business invoice to your company.
Can several people from one L&D team attend?
Yes, and it can be particularly valuable for colleagues from the same team to work together and build a shared approach to AI-assisted learning design. We offer a special rate for registrations of three or more participants from the same company.
